1.   When does the Registration for XAT 2013 Start?

3.   What is the eligibility criteria for taking XAT 2013?
A bachelors degree under 10+2+3 system from a recognized university or a deemed university.
4.   I have less than 50% in graduation, am I eligible to apply for XAT 2013?
Yes, you are eligible to apply for XAT 2013.
5.   I am in the final year of my graduation, am I eligible to take XAT 2013 for applying to XLRI or more than 100 other XLRI associated Management Institutes?
Yes, you are eligible for admission to XLRI. You need to complete your final year examination by June 10, 2013. Other XAT Members Institutes may have a different date regarding the completion of the final examination.
6.   I am in the final year of my graduation, what percentage should I fill in the form?
Please enter the aggregate percentage obtained in the previous years of the qualifying degree.
7.   By Registering and paying for XAT 2013, am I eligible for XLRI and other Institutes?
The XAT is a common test for admission into academic programmes of XLRI and more than 100 other Institutes (refer XAT Associate Institutes in the home page). If you are interested in XLRI or any other XAT Associate institute, you need to register and apply separately for the academic programmes of the concerned institute.
8.   How many Centres are there for the Test?
There are 44 cities in India and 3 international cities in which XAT exam shall be conducted. In Metros and large cities there will be multiple Test Centres.
9.   When are XAT 2013 results out?
Results will be available on the website by 31st January 2013.
10.  I have lost the XAT pay-in-slip which was stamped by IDBI bank.
Go to the IDBI Bank Branch where you paid the XAT charges with a copy of the XAT printable page and request them to give you a photocopy of the pay-in-slip and put COPY along with bank's original seal and signature on it.
11.  When shall I receive the XAT 2013 Admit Card?
You can download your admit card from our website www.xatonline.net.in any time during December 18, 2012 - December 31, 2012. XAT office will not be sending admit cards to any candidates.
12.  When do I get to know the Centre address for XAT 2013?

13.  What time do I report to the test Centre?
You are expected to reach the Test Centre before 10:00 am on the day of the test. This will help you to locate your seat and give you some time to reflect.
14.  What is the duration of the test?
The test will be of 2 ½ hours i.e. from 10:30am to 1:00pm.
15.  What is the kind of Test and what are the different components?
The test is multiple choice type which will be of 2 hours duration followed by an additional test which is of 20 minutes duration. The format of the additional test may range from an open-ended essay or a multiple-choice type.
16.  How to download XAT Pay-in-slip?
You can download by accessing the link after completing the application in all respects.
17.  For applying to XAT, do we need to take the SC/ST certificate to IDBI Bank?
No, this is not required.
18.  Are there any restrictions on the file size for the photograph and signature?

19.  When can I check & confirm my photo and signature before admit card is generated?
On successfully making the payment and updating the same in your profile (in case of payment through Cash / Demand Draft mode), you are required to upload your recent passport size colour photograph (full height photographs/portions cut from group photographs etc. will not be accepted and the application summarily rejected) and your signature as per the instructions given on the relevant page and once you have uploaded them correctly, the page will display your photograph and signature.
20.  What are the payment options available to a candidate?
You could either opt to make the payment through the online payment gateway, net-banking (for IDBI bank customers), demand draft or through cash payment in any branch of IDBI Bank .In case you choose to opt to make the payment through IDBI Bank branch, on selecting the appropriate option take a print out of the bank Pay-in-slip which is in three parts. The bank will return two parts of the Pay-in-slip duly signed & stamped .Retain your copy of the slip and paste the XAT copy on the XAT REGISTRATION CONFIRMATION PAGE - CASH MODE (attach caste certificate in case of SC/ST candidates) and send it to XAT Office.
In case you choose the demand draft option, you need to get a demand draft in favour of "XLRI JAMSHEDPUR A/c XAT" payable at Jamshedpur, of the the appropriate amount (Rs. 950.00 in case of General and Rs. 650.00 in case of SC/ST) and send it to XAT Office alongwith the XAT REGISTRATION CONFIRMATION PAGE - DEMAND DRAFT MODE (attach caste certificate in case of SC/ST candidates).
21.  What is the XAT Registration Confirmation page?
If you have opted to make the payment through the payment gateway or net-banking, after you successfully make the payment, you are required to upload your recent color photograph & signature in the prescribed format, a XAT Registration Confirmation Page - Online Payment Mode or a XAT Registration Confirmation Page - Net-banking Mode will appear and you need to take a print out of the same , sign it and sent it by post/courier to XAT office, XLRI, C.H. Area( East) Jamshedpur - 831 001 within seven days from the date of payment. The last date of receipt is 5th Dec. 2012.
Should you opt to make the payment in cash through IDBI Bank branch, on selecting the appropriate option take a print out of the bank Pay-in-slip which is in three parts. The bank will return two parts of the Pay-in-slip duly signed & stamped. Retain your copy of the slip. Log in to xatonline.net.in and enter the transaction no. date of payment, Branch Name etc., you are required to upload your recent color photograph & signature in the prescribed format and take a print out of the XAT REGISTRATION CONFIRMATION PAGE - CASH MODE (attach caste certificate in case of SC/ST candidates). Paste the XLRI copy of the Bank Pay-in-slip on the XAT Confirmation page and send it to XAT Office, XLRI, C.H. Area( East) Jamshedpur - 831 001 within seven days from the date of payment.
Should you opt to make the payment through demand draft you are required to get a demand draft made of requisite amount in favour of “XLRI Jamshedpur A/c XAT” payable at Jamshedpur. Log in to xatonline.net.in and enter the demand draft no. date of DD, Bank name etc., you are required to upload your recent color photograph & signature in the prescribed format and take a print out of the XAT REGISTRATION CONFIRMATION PAGE – DEMAND DRAFT MODE (attach caste certificate in case of SC/ST candidates). Attach the demand draft along with the XAT Confirmation page and send it to XAT Office, XLRI, C.H. Area (East) Jamshedpur – 831 001 within seven days from the date of issue of demand draft.
22.  When can I check & confirm if XAT Office has received my XAT confirmation page?
XAT office on receipt of the XAT Registration Confirmation Page will after verifying from the bank, update on a first come first served basis until December 5th 2012. Candidates have to log in through their XAT id to check if their form has been received or not.
23.  How will my data be used by XAT Associate Institutes?
The XAT database would be accessible to all institutes who are XAT Associate Members.
24.  I have registered for XAT 2013 by making an online payment through credit card. Unfortunately after the payment I am unable to view the final confirmation and the system was not able to give the reference No. & a message is displayed as "PAGE EXPIRED", although the bank has confirmed the debit.
This could be a temporary problem and will get resolved within 24 hours. Please wait for 24 hours and send a mail to admissions@xatonline.net.in only if you are still not able to view the final confirmation page. Please do not attempt to make a second payment immediately.
25.  I have paid twice using online payment option. What should I do?
Kindly send an email to admissions@xatonline.net.in with your XAT ID, date of payment, transaction number for both the payment, card holders name and the credit/debit card details (first four & last four digits and card expiry date).
26.  On completion of the payment process either online or bank pay-in-slip mode, will I get a confirmation page through email?
No, confirmation page will not be sent through email. Please login again and click on "Print Confirmation Page". For some reason, if you do not find this link immediately, please wait for 24hrs for the link to appear. Incase the link does not appear in 24hrs, write to admissions@xatonline.net.in with your XATID and date of payment.
27.  What do I do if I am unable to make the payment online?
Online payments involve multiple agencies and there are chances that your payment is timed out or declined .If you encounter any such problems, we suggest you make the payment by Cash Mode through any branch of IDBI Bank. IIM Raipur Selection Criteria-IIM Raipur Shortlisting Process

INDIAN INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT Raipur (IIM Raipur) has announced the selection criteria for 2017-19 various MBA programs (Post-graduate Programmes in Management).

The batch size is likely to be around 280. The basic objective of IIM Raipur’s admission process is to identify meritorious candidates for admission under each category of admission, viz., General, NC-OBC, SC, ST and DAP. The admission process of IIM Raipur consists of:
a. CAT Examination 

b. Short listing Candidates for Personal Appearance (PA) process 
c. Conducting the PA process. PA process is composed of Written Analysis Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI), and 
d. Preparing the admission list based on CAT score, PI & WAT score and Profile score as indicated in following tables. 

The nine new IIMs (Kashipur, Raipur, Ranchi, Rohtak, Trichy and Udaipur , Amritsar, Bodh  Gaya, Sambalpur ) have decided to adopt a common process of WAT & PI to be coordinated this year by IIM Rohtak . In case any of  the older IIMs (Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Calcutta, Indore, Kozhikode and Lucknow) are willing to  share their WAT & PI scores with the six new IIMs, the  common candidates who have  applied to new IIMs, need not to appear for WAT & PI process separately, else they have to appear. The  common candidates will be intimated the names of older IIMs sharing WA T & PI scores with new IIMs in due course of time.

INDIAN INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT Kashipur (IIM Kashipur) has announced the selection criteria for 2015-17 various MBA programs (Post-graduate Programmes in Management).

The process that is being adopted for selecting the students for PGP at IIM Kashipur for the academic year 2015-17 involves two stages: Stage 1 applies to all eligible candidates who have appeared for Common Admission Test (CAT – 2014) and have applied for admission to IIM Kashipur. Stage 2 applies to shortlisted candidates from Stage 1. 

Sufficient numbers of candidates belonging to different categories are shortlisted in Stage 1 for meeting the Government of India norms on reservation.

IIM Udaipur Selection Criteria - Admission Policy for PGP 2015-17

This document summarizes the approach of IIM Udaipur to prepare the admission list for its 5th PGP Batch (2015-17). The batch size is likely to be around 150. IIM Udaipur reserves the right to modify any part of this document including the various criteria and cut offs mentioned at any time till the actual admission process for the batch is completed.
The admission process of IIM Udaipur consists of:
(a)CAT Examination (b)Short listing candidates for Personal Appearance (PA) process (c)Conducting the PA process. PA process is composed of Written Analysis (WA) and Personal Interview (PI). The PA process will be common to all the six new IIMs, namely, Kashipur, Raipur, Ranchi, Rohtak, Tiruchirapally and Udaipur.   2. IIM Udaipur Admission Committee will decide the number of candidates who would be called for PA process on the basis of short listed merit list prepared for each category. However, if the actual number of short-listed candidates were found to be less (more) than the required number of candidates to be called for WA / PI category-wise, then the overall as well as section-wise minimum score would be reduced (increased) to get the desired number of candidates.

    4. Offer Acceptance Fee and Withdrawal

    A candidate receiving admission offer from IIM Udaipur and accepting the offer within the stipulated date needs to send along with Offer Acceptance an Offer Acceptance Amount of Rs.50,000/-. If a candidate subsequently wishes to withdraw the offer within the withdrawal date specified in the Offer Letter, Offer Acceptance Amount will be refunded after deducting Rs.1,000 as processing charges. If a candidate applies for withdrawal after the date specified in the Offer Acceptance, no refund will be admissible. If a candidate registers for the programme, his/her Offer Acceptance Amount will be adjusted against Term I Fee. In the event of withdrawal from the Programme after registration, NO refund of Offer Acceptance Amount or Term Fee will be made

IIM Trichy Selection Criteria-IIM Tiruchirappalli Shortlisting Process-IIM T Selection

Selection Criteria for IIM Trichy: PGP 2015-17
Indian Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli (also referred to herein as IIM Trichy or IIM T) plans to have a batch size of one hundred and ten (110) students for the PGP batch of 2015-17. This document details the process that would be adopted for selecting candidates for admission to the PGP at IIM Trichy for the batch of 2015-17.  IIM T reserves the right to modify any part of this document including the various criteria and cut offs mentioned therein at any time till the admission process for the batch is completed.
The admission process of IIM Trichy takes into consideration the candidate’s performance in CAT, performance in Personal Interview (PI) and Written Analysis Test (WAT), academic record and relevant work experience.
The criteria that would be used to select candidates for Personal Interview and Written Analysis Test (PI & WAT) are shown below:
 A. Criteria for short­listing for PI & WAT:
IIM T will use CAT percentile for short­listing candidates for PI & WAT. Table 1 indicates the minimum performance expected from candidates to be shortlisted for the PI & WAT. Please note that achieving the cut-off percentile in CAT is a necessary but not sufficient condition for being shortlisted.

It must be noted that the cut-off percentiles given in Table 1 are indicative. The actual cut-off percentiles for 2015-17 batch may vary from those mentioned in Table 1.  IIM Trichy will decide the number of candidates to be called for the PI & WAT for each of the above categories.  
PI & WAT venues: 
The Personal Interview and Written Analysis Test would be conducted at New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai and Kolkata. The exact date for PI & WAT will be communicated to the short­listed candidates by IIM Udaipur which is co-ordinating for 2015-17 batch on behalf of   IIM-Kashipur, IIM-Raipur, IIM-Ranchi, IIM-Rohtak, IIM-Tiruchirappalli and IIM- Udaipur (also referred to herein as the “new IIMs”).
In cases where candidates have been shortlisted by the six new IIMs as well as older IIMs, IIM Udaipur may obtain the PI & WAT scores of such candidates directly from the older IIMs. Such candidates will be informed in advance by IIM-Udaipur, and they need not appear for the PI & WAT conducted by the new IIMs.  
B. Criteria that would be used to select candidates post Personal Interview (PI) and Written Analysis Test (WAT):
The following will be the parameters and corresponding weightages used to arrive at the composite score of the candidates, which will be used to prepare the final merit list for admissions.  
Please note that the sub-parameters used under each head are also mentioned below, (for e.g., the WAT examines the candidate’s vocabulary, content of writing and writing skills).   
1. Written Analysis Test (15 per cent weightage):
     Vocabulary, content of writing and writing skills 
2. Personal Interview (17 per cent weightage):
a. Communication, attitude and personality
b. Academic efforts and disposition
c. Managerial and leadership attributes
d. Social awareness and disposition
e. Overall presence
3. Work experience (based on relevance and quality of work experience and achievements, if any): 5 per cent weightage
4. Performance at Undergraduate level: 10 per cent weightage.
This performance shall be measured by multiplying the percentage marks scored by the weightage applicable to the discipline as shown below. 10 per cent of the score so obtained shall be considered in the overall evaluation. [UG performance score = (per cent score at UG * discipline weightage)* 0.10]
Differential weightages, as shown below, shall be applied to different disciplines to account for the degree of difficulty in scoring in different disciplines (for instance, scoring in Engineering disciplines is easier than in Arts) as well as to encourage diversity in the batch:
a. Engineering / Technology: 0.6
b. Science: 0.8
c. Commerce / Economics / Management: 1.0
d. Arts / Medicine (including Pharmacy): 0.9
5.      Master’s degree or Professional Qualification : 2 per cent weightage (a pass in the Master Degree / final examinations of CA / ICWA/ CS)
6.   Gender Diversity : 1 per cent weightage for female candidates
7. CAT score: 50 per cent weightage.
